ABOUT

Javier Dayes (b.1990), born in Manchester, Jamaica is an architecture student turned artist. He sees his ultimate canvas as the public realm, producing public art installations and interventions. His practice also includes photography, digital art and writing. A true multi-disciplinary creative of the modern era, he is constantly feeding the curiosity of his creativity while highlighting cultural values.

As a multi-disciplinary artist, Javier explores textures and colors through drips and splashes of paint to create abstract forms. His painting style is influenced by the American Abstract Expressionist painter Jackson Pollock (1912-1956).

Unlike many of his contemporaries, the Artist Javier is primarily self-taught and has his own approach to art and its definition. He believes in constantly taking risks and that inspiration can be found wherever he looks.
